Introducing a faster, more intuitive Countfire experience

Complete your takeoffs in less time, with fewer clicks, and less frustration. The upcoming Countfire updates feature redesigned workflows and a cleaner interface that eliminates common pain points.

For existing users this means a faster and more user-friendly experience, but some changes to your workflow may take a bit of getting used to. As always, our support team is here to help with the transition if needed.

New users will find getting started with Countfire much more intuitive with clearer signposting and more natural workflows.

How your Countfire experience is about to improve:

1. Faster workflows with fewer clicks

• Rather than starting in “Choose”, you will now land directly in the “Count” tool ready to start making selections
• An always accessible drawing dropdown will allow you to quickly switch between drawings from your current tool
• No more clicking into “Select” mode as, by default, you will be in the right mode to create selections, measures, zones or notes
• Simply hold spacebar to move around your drawing instead

2. Cleaner, more intuitive sidebar

• A modern, decluttered sidebar so you can concentrate on your current task
• A larger “Save” button means it is more obvious when there are unsaved changes
• Clear “Measure” icons to identify if you are creating a length, point or area
• “Hide symbols” (or “Hide measures”) replaces “Toggle all”
• To reduce noise, the word “Edit” next to selections has been replaced by an intuitive icon

3. A new global toolbar

• The new toolbar houses global options to turn off Background and Tooltips
• By clicking the ellipsis [⋮] in the toolbar you can access options to manage multiple drawings (Floorplan, Overlay and Compare)

4. Speedy shortcuts

• Press <Space + 1, 2, 3 or 4> to jump directly into the tool you need (1 = Count, 2 = Measure, 3 = Zone and 4 = Note)
• Within the “Measure” tool, <1, 2 or 3> will select the measure type before you create it (1 = Point, 2 = Length and 3 = Area)
